GSU Phoenix

Sedona Smith, Freelance Writer

Hi there. My name is Sedona Smith and I am a junior at Governors State. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work and a Minor in Spanish. Aside from writing for the Phoenix, I am also a member of the GSU women’s golf team and the public relations officer for the Social Work Student Organization. I am eager to have the opportunity to report on sports-related news at Governors State. Athletics have the power to build a sense of community, and I am excited for the opportunity to immerse myself into the GSU culture and community through sports and to encourage others to do the same. Go Jaguars!
