The Governors State women’s bowling team competed at the 57th Annual Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic, one of the most competitive invitational fields in college bowling, finishing 34th out of 64 teams with a total pinfall of 6,902 across the qualifying round.
Leading the way for the Jaguars was Kahlen Ranson, who ranked 101st individually out of the full field with a 188.3 average over 44 games, nearly 18.5 pins above the field average, and the clear standout performer for GovState. Her consistency across nine events made her the Jaguars’ most reliable scoring option throughout the tournament.
Jenna Ritchie and Cameryn Landers each contributed with averages of 176.2 and 175.3, respectively, both finishing above the field average across nine events. Haley Leuze posted a 175.1 average over seven events, adding another steady presence in the lineup, while Kylie Schaefer rounded out the roster’s contributions over her seven events.
Competing against nationally ranked programs, the Jaguars held their own in a tough environment, with four of their five bowlers finishing above the field average.
