The Trans4Mation Gospel Choir hosted a game night on the Evolution of Black History on Wednesday, Feb 25. Attendees included students, faculty, and members of the choir, looking to test their knowledge on one of the most influential music genres in America.
The choir has operated for several years now, started by a group of friends who wanted to bring joy and community to GovState. Starting as informal gatherings with friends, it soon became a staple student organization rooted in faith, community, and transformation.
In an interview, the choir’s advisor, Prof. Derrick Brown, said that one thing he wanted to tell students this year was: “Now is the time to get involved in clubs, gain leadership positions – and if you don’t know how to, see if you can shadow someone in those positions to learn about leading.”
The Trans4Mation Choir will host a Spring Showcase on April 11 at 7 p.m. Further details will be provided at a later date.
