Governors State turned in a dominant all-around effort on Saturday, cruising past Mount Mary 91–42 to improve to 14–9 overall and 9–6 in conference play. The Jaguars controlled the game from start to finish, shooting 47.3 percent from the field and moving the ball effectively with 23 assists. Defensive pressure fueled the run as GovState forced 24 turnovers and held Mount Mary to 31.9 percent shooting. Cencere McDaniel led the way with 19 points and eight assists, while Davina Smith added 15 points. Kalvina Eubanks recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Alexis Warren chipped in 11 points off the bench on an efficient 5-of-6 shooting night. GovState’s depth showed throughout, with balanced scoring and sustained defensive intensity.
