Governors State University once again is opening the door to a world of discovery as the Honors Study Abroad in Italy – Program VIII (2026) prepares to welcome a new group of students for an unforgettable summer learning experience. Scheduled to take place from June 22 to July 14, 2026, this immersive academic adventure invites students to explore Italy’s rich history, art, culture, and global perspectives while earning credit and expanding their worldview.
To help students prepare for this extraordinary opportunity, the Office of International Services (OIS) and the GovState Honors College are hosting their final information session of Fall 2025 on Wednesday, Dec. 3. Designed for anyone curious about studying abroad, the session is open to all students, regardless of major or class standing.
