As the holiday break approaches, Governors State University has announced adjusted operating hours for several key campus services. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to review the modified schedules to plan accordingly for dining, shopping, and support services throughout Thanksgiving week.
GovState Café
The GovState Café will operate on reduced hours at the start of the week, opening Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The café will close from Wednesday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 30, reopening with regular hours the following week.
C-Store at Prairie Place
For residents and visitors of Prairie Place, the C-Store will be open Monday, Nov. 24 and Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The store will remain closed Wednesday, Nov. 26 through Saturday, Nov. 29, and will reopen Sunday, Nov. 30 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
GovState Food Pantry
Students who rely on the Food Pantry should note the limited availability during the break:

Monday, Nov. 24: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 25: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 26: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The pantry will be closed from Thursday, Nov. 27 through Sunday, Nov. 30.
Follett Bookstore
The campus bookstore will also operate under a modified schedule.

Monday, Nov. 24 & Tuesday, Nov. 25: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 26: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The bookstore will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27 through Sunday, Nov. 30, and will reopen Monday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m.
The university encourages the GovState community to plan ahead and take advantage of available services before closures begin. Regular schedules will resume after the holiday break.
