On Thursday, Nov. 20, the Radio Jaguar team will celebrate their 2nd birthday.
Come join the birthday party from 1 -3 p.m. The theme for this fun party is the ’80s. They will have a live DJ, games, dance contests, and birthday cake. So put on your best ’80s attire and bring along friends to this blast from the past.
Radio Jaguar streams 24/7 with special times for different music mixes. Tuesdays from noon to 2 p.m. you can tune in to catch the mix with DJ Tam. The Wednesday Whiplash is on air Wednesdays from 1 -3 p.m. with Dr. Worm. On Thursdays from 6 – 8 p.m. is the Alt Wave with Lady DJ Ash. The station personalities even perform special live events. Previous events included the interview with President Joyce Ester, which is still available to stream.
It started as just an idea of an internet radio station and has grown and changed with each semester into the student run station that it is now. Everything from featuring music to being student produced, and everything in between. With each new semester comes new programs and ideas from the all student staff.
“We are always evolving with the students who join the station and cannot wait for the new programs that will be coming to the air in the spring semester,” stated Lara Hrycaj, assistant professor for the division of Arts and Letter who oversees the production for the radio station.
The radio plays a mix of different music genres which are great to listen to while studying for classes or just relaxing with friends.
Be sure to join the fun and get to know all of the radio personalities at the party in the Hall of Governors. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Radio Jaguar team, it will be a great time to see what it is all about and how you can become a part of the staff.
