GovState closed its 2025 season with a hard-fought five-set battle on the road, pushing Trinity Christian to the limit in a back-and-forth match. Outside hitter Greta Bochert powered the offense with 15 kills and 17 digs, while opposite hitter Jennifer Barwicka added 7 kills and a team-high 6 block assists. Trenyce Bonner chipped in 9 kills with steady back-row play, and Joharis Castillo contributed 8 kills and 3 blocks. Setter Alexah Martinez directed the attack with 36 assists and added 17 digs as GovState outpaced Trinity Christian in both Sets 2 and 3 behind improved ball control and transition scoring.
The Trolls regained momentum with a strong fourth set and edged the Jaguars 15–12 in the deciding frame. GovState finished the night with 55 kills and 75 digs, battling through extended rallies and maintaining pressure throughout the match.
The five-set effort capped off a resilient season for GovState, whose improvement over the final stretch was evident in the competitive road finale. The Jaguars showed growth across the roster and closed the year with a performance that sets a solid foundation heading into next fall.
