Governors State University kicked off Homecoming week with warmth and excitement as students, faculty, and community members gathered for the Homecoming Bonfire Bash, held on Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hall of Governors Patio and Fire Pit.
The event featured upbeat music, delicious food, and a variety of outdoor games that kept the energy high throughout the night. Attendees enjoyed time together under the evening sky—relaxing by the fire, sharing laughs, and celebrating the spirit of the season.
The Bonfire Bash served as a spirited start to the week’s Homecoming festivities, giving the GovState community a chance to reconnect and create new memories. Thanks to well-prepared organizers, even the potential for inclement weather wasn’t a concern, as Engbretson Hall stood ready as the backup location.
Warmth, great company, and glowing flames set the perfect tone for what promises to be an unforgettable Homecoming week at GovState.
