Governors State men’s soccer closed its regular season in dominant fashion, earning a commanding 7–1 road victory over St. Ambrose (IA) on October 28 to move to 5–11–1 overall and 4–4–1 in CCAC play. The win capped the Jaguars’ regular season with momentum heading into the conference postseason.

Midfielder Joan Gallardo led the Jaguars with two goals and one assist, while Pedro Mendez, Jose Antonio, Tom Klinnert, Yahir Diaz, and Mattia Motzo each added goals in a well-rounded offensive display. Abraham Jaimes provided two assists to help fuel the attack, and goalkeeper Matias Gallego tallied eight saves in the win. GovState recorded 20 total shots—13 on goal—while limiting St. Ambrose to just nine shots on frame.
