The Academic Resource Center (ARC) welcomed students on Oct. 28 with a festive Halloween open house that combined candy, community, and reminders for students that help is always available. The ARC welcomes students to explore the center’s resources and meet staff dedicated to academic success. From tutoring to writing assistance, the ARC has a lot to offer and is designed to support students through every challenge.
The ARC transformed its space into a trick-or-treat experience where students could walk around to different staff stations, collecting candy while learning about the support services available. Food was provided, making it easy for students to stay and explore what the center has to offer.
One student who attended the event stated, “This was nice, I didn’t even know how many resources were available until I came in.”
The open house gave students a chance to learn about the services, suck as subject tutoring for math, statistics, and science, and the Writing Center can assist with assignments. Staff also highlighted learning strategies workshops covering time management, note-taking, and organization skills that can make all the difference during a busy semester, which should be considered.
Whether you’re struggling with a tough course or just looking to sharpen your skills, the ARC is ready to help in any way it can.
Please visit the Academic Resource Center to explore all the support available and take the next step toward academic success.
