Governors State women’s volleyball closed out a two-match stretch with a road sweep over Calumet St. Joseph, followed by a competitive home loss to Indiana South Bend, which also served as the team’s Senior Night celebration.

GovState opened the week with a dominant straight-sets victory on the road, improving to 8–19 overall and 7–6 in CCAC play. Trenyce Bonner led the Jaguars’ offense with 15 kills and 13 digs, finishing with a team-high 16 points. Setter Alexah Martinez directed the attack with 30 assists and nine digs while adding a service ace. Greta Bochert added eight kills and 19 digs on an efficient .389 hitting percentage, while middle blocker Delia MacDonald powered down five kills and three solo blocks. GovState out-hit Calumet .178 to .087 and totaled 72 digs as a team, holding the Crimson Wave to just a .028 hitting mark in the second set. The Jaguars’ strong serving also proved crucial, with eight total aces spread across the lineup. GovState sealed the match with a close 25–23 third set to complete the sweep.

Returning home two days later, GovState battled but fell in straight sets to Indiana South Bend (11–16, 7–6) in its Senior Night matchup. Junior outside hitter Greta Bochert continued her standout week with 13 kills on a .522 hitting percentage, marking one of her most efficient outings of the season. Martinez posted another steady 34-assist effort, and libero Vanessa Segura anchored the defense with 15 digs. Trenyce Bonner chipped in eight kills and nine total points, while Delia MacDonald added four kills and an ace. Despite strong first and second sets, GovState couldn’t overcome South Bend’s balanced attack, which featured 45 kills and a .242 team hitting clip. The Jaguars recognized their seniors before first serve, celebrating their leadership and contributions throughout the season.
