Radio Jaguar is an internet station that allows for streaming of music, news and podcasts serving the community of Governors State University and surrounding Chicago Southland communities. This student-run station provides real-world experience and training in radio programming, production, and management. Programing is provided for and by Governors State University.

The station is open to GSU students, faculty, staff, alumni and anyone who completes the Radio Staff Training Workshop. It is not required to be a Media studies student to participate. Successful completion of the radio staff training workshop is the only requirement for anyone interested in going on air. (Find more details in the workshop in the section below)

The Radio Staff Training Workshop is offered through the Media Studies program (MST 4050) and through the School of Extended Learning. Typically, the training is offered on two consecutive Fridays from 9am-5pm and is an on-campus/in-person ONLY Workshop.

To register for MST 4050 Radio Staff Training Workshop through Media Studies, EVERYONE (except MST students who have taken MST 2100 & MST 2101) needs to email Dr. Lara Hrycaj at [email protected]. To register via the School of Extended Learning, you do not need to email Dr. Hrycaj.

The next Radio Staff Training Workshop will be offered in February 2024 (2/16, 2/23). Please check the course schedule for other future dates.
