At Governors State fostering a positive community environment is of such importance and The Phoenix Newspaper is no different. Our hope is that we give our student staff writers the support, guidance and experience that allows them to go on any path their writing leads them with confidence.

Our coverage is community and campus related so that we can keep students up to date with information and events that are most relevant and pertinent to them. From time to time our site host polls that help to gauge what kinds of stories are most popular and allow our community give us feedback.
