GovState pushed league-leading Viterbo to the limit at the ARC, forcing a fifth set before falling 16–14 in a back-and-forth finish. Greta Bochert powered the attack with 21 kills (.245) and 10 digs, while Trenyce Bonner and Joharis Castillo added 16 kills apiece. Delia MacDonald was efficient in the middle with 7 kills at .333 and chipped in 2 blocks.
Setter Alexah Martinez steered the offense with 52 assists, and the back row held up under pressure with Vanessa Segura (21 digs) and Alana Morgan (12 digs, 2 aces) leading the coverage. GovState took the first set 25–23 and clawed out a 26–24 fourth to extend the match, but Viterbo edged the final frame.
Saint Xavier 3, GovState 1 (25–23, 25–22, 16–25, 25–20)
On the road three days later, the Jaguars found a gear in the third set but couldn’t complete the comeback at Saint Xavier. Bochert again led with 15 kills and 11 digs, and Bonner added 13 kills. MacDonald was a presence at the net with 6 kills at .222 plus 3 solo blocks and 1 block assist. Martinez finished with 30 assists, while Segura anchored the defense with 19 digs and 2 aces.
GovState hit .333 in the third to win 25–16, but SXU closed the fourth behind timely sideouts.
