Governors State women’s soccer faced a tough conference matchup Friday night, falling 6–0 to Trinity Christian in Palos Heights. The loss moved the Jaguars to 2–4–1 overall and 1–3–1 in CCAC play, while the Trolls improved to 5–7 and 3–3 in conference action.
Trinity Christian struck early and often, scoring four goals in the first half and two more after the break. Governors State goalkeeper Valentina Jimenez made 17 saves while facing 23 shots on goal, keeping the Jaguars within striking distance through much of the first half despite heavy offensive pressure from the hosts.
On the attacking end, Koumba Dembele recorded GovState’s lone shot on goal, with additional attempts coming from Ana Rodrigues and Corayma Vilchis. The Jaguars’ back line, anchored by Victoria Salas and Francia Hernandez, remained active throughout, forcing several deflections and clearances against a high-volume Trinity offense that totaled 37 shots and seven corner kicks.
