Sandy’s admirers bid a bittersweet goodbye to GovState’s special therapy dog at her retirement party on Aril 22.
After more than eight years serving the GovState community, Sandy will be taking a long-awaited break. The event venue in the Library was filled with photographs of Sandy throughout her years.
Sandy was roamed the room. greeting each person naturally. I felt as if she almost knew it would be a goodbye to the school and her friends, both students and staff.
Sandy will truly be missed. She has been a beacon of peace for many people on campus, and deserves all the best in her departure for generously connecting with others through her warmth in kindness/consideration towards others.
Sandy’s plans after retirement are many, for example, going outdoors at any moment she would like, at her (and owner’s home), with open access doggy doors, to explore and enjoy the outdoors, toys, and naps at home.
P.S. We can still visit Sandy until the last weeks of the semester.
