In a bid to encourage student well-being during a busy period of the year within the academic calendar, the College of Graduate Studies is hosting a free virtual stress management workshop open to all students, with a special invitation extended to graduate students.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday, April 23, between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams. Designed to provide helpful skills for managing the pressures of university life, the workshop will focus on methods of time management, setting realistic expectations, and stress management through proven relaxation techniques.
Organizers hope the session will provide students with much-needed guidance on how to balance their academic responsibilities with personal health. The workshop is participatory in nature, allowing students an opportunity to engage directly with facilitators and learn skills that can be applied immediately in their everyday lives.
“This workshop is a valuable opportunity for students to step back, reflect, and take control of their mental health,” a representative from the College of Graduate Studies shared. “We recognize the pressures that come with graduate studies, and we’re committed to creating a supportive environment.”
Digital flyers and registration links have been shared with the student body, and attendance is strongly encouraged.
With finals approaching and project deadlines, university administrators nudge students in advance to address stress proactively, referencing this workshop as an easy and opportune solution.
For additional information and enrollment, students can look to check their university email or the event page for the College of Graduate Studies.
