The Social Justice Initiative will host a panel on April 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Social Justice Building.
All members of the GovState community are welcome to attend the talk featuring Dr. Ben Almassi, Dr. Eliot Fackler, Dr. Jelena Radovic-Fanta (all from GovState), and Negin Almassi (Cook County Forest Preserves). The panelists will discuss local projects related to indigenous fire practices, the University Park water crisis and the impact of insects on soil health.
Participants will also be provided with time for information sharing, questions and exploration. After snacks, Negin Almassi will lead a sound walk.
