The lanes of Stardust Bowl in Addison, Illinois, saw three days of fierce competition as the Governors State Jaguars women’s bowling team battled through the ITC Sectionals. With precise shots and unwavering determination, the Jaguars secured an 11th-place finish, punching their ticket to the ITC Nationals.
Leading the charge was Olivia Daujatas, who delivered a consistent performance with a 60th-place finish, posting a 1,080 total pinfall across six games for a 180 average. Cameryn Landers followed closely behind, rolling her way to a 62nd-place finish with a 1,075 total pinfall, maintaining a steady 179.17 average.
Haley Leuze added to the team’s success with a 64th-place finish, knocking down 1,066 pins for a 177.67 average, while Samantha Mann finished 66th with 1,056 pins and a 176 average. The Jaguars’ depth showed as Kahlen Ranson and Jenna Ritchie contributed 1,045 and 1,030 total pins, respectively, helping to keep the team in contention throughout the event.
While the competition was fierce, the Jaguars refused to back down, proving teamwork and tenacity can carry a team far. With Sectionals behind them, they set their sights on the ITC Nationals, ready to roll into the following challenge with the same competitive fire.
The road to Nationals isn’t easy, but the Jaguars are prepared. Next, they will compete at NAIA Nationals on March 25, where they’ll take on some of the top teams in the country. With momentum from Sectionals and a determined squad, the Jaguars are ready to leave their mark on collegiate bowling’s biggest stage.
