Governors State University (GSU) students came together on March 4 for a vibrant Paint and Sip event hosted by the Association of Latin American Students (ALAS) and the Reconstructed Club in celebration of Women’s History Month.
Regardless of artistic experience, participants eagerly picked up their brushes and embraced the opportunity to create something unique. During the event, they were invited to speak about the woman who inspires them the most, leading to heartfelt discussions about influential women from history, personal lives, and global movements.
Adding to the excitement, GSU TV was present to capture the memorable moments, ensuring the energy and spirit of the event were documented for the broader campus community.
Many Jaguars took part in the event, making it a well attended and lively gathering. Laughter, art, and conversation filled the room as students connected over shared experiences and artistic expression. Participants enjoyed pizza, drinks, and other refreshments while immersing themselves in the creative process.
As Women’s History Month continues, events like Paint and Sip highlight the significance of honoring women’s contributions while fostering creativity and community at GovState.
