The Center for Student Engagement and Intercultural Programs hosted a vibrant Valentine’s Day Pop-Up event at Governors State University (GSU) on Friday, Feb. 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Jaguar Den(A2140). Students, faculty, and staff came together to celebrate Valentine’s Day with an afternoon of creativity, connection, and warmth.
Attendees had the chance to build their own teddy bears and design personalized Valentine’s Day bracelets, creating unique keepsakes. These activities allowed participants to tap into their creativity, while also offering a great opportunity for socializing and meeting new people. The event provided a fun and welcoming space to connect and enjoy each other’s company.
GSU’s Valentine’s Day celebration also featured a lively line dance, performed by Danielle Austin, Montgomery Proffit, Tatyana Esper, Sai Sindhu Tumukunta and Sama Parimala Reddy. Their energetic performance added an exciting touch to the event, bringing joy and excitement.
From crafting personalized keepsakes to enjoying an energetic line dance, the event was a true reflection of joy, connection, and community spirit. As the festivities ended, attendees carried home not just handmade gifts but also cherished memories of a day filled with fun and friendship making this Valentine’s Day one to remember.
