Andrea Croce headlined this year’s awards, earning Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year honors for his incredible performance on the field. His leadership and goal-scoring prowess were instrumental in the team’s success this season.
Rafael Silverio claimed the title of Newcomer of the Year. He made an immediate impact in his first year with the program. His skills and adaptability have been a game-changer for Governors State, earning him a spot on the Second Team All-Conference alongside Marcal Salom Chandre.
Several standout players earned first-team All-Conference honors, including Croce, Diego Camarena, Alexander Judd, and Javier Losa. Their consistent efforts and clutch performances helped propel the Jaguars to a postseason berth. As the Jaguars gear up for the next chapter of their season, excitement builds for their upcoming matchup in the NAIA National Tournament First Round. Governors State will face Missouri Baptist at William Penn University in Iowa on Thursday, Nov 21. at 3 p.m. This is where the game can be viewed. This marks the team’s first appearance in the tournament, and the stakes couldn’t be higher.
