Governors State men’s basketball team took control from the start, defeating East-West 91-70 with a strong team performance that showcased their offensive firepower and defensive prowess. With a shooting percentage of 47.9% from the field and a powerful rebounding presence, Governors State maintained the lead and never looked back.
The team’s starters set the tone early. Vincent Mayes led the way with 14 points and dominated the boards, grabbing 9 rebounds.
