Governors State University held a Civic Engagement Fall Festival on Oct. 22. The event promoted civic engagement and voter participation in the upcoming elections.
The festival featured conversations on key election issues, such as protest voting and the Electoral College. Students were encouraged to register to vote if they had not done so already. Participants listened to music while learning about the election, earning prizes, and enjoying food from local businesses.
The Office of the President and Students Learn Students Vote hosted the Civic Engagement Fall Festival as part of the ALL IN Democracy Challenge.
Early voting for Will County residents is underway on campus at the Hantack House. For more information about voting, voter registration and civic engagement on campus visit www.govst.edu/civic-engagement.
