The Chicago Southland International Film Festival is hosting an event to showcase students’ film work. The GovState Student Film Showcase will be held on Oct. 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in F1622, also known as the Amphitheater.
The event allows for an experience like no other, including a red carpet walk for filmmakers and attendees. A a select few filmmakers will have the chance to be given a certificate of participation and have their film be shown to the audience.
Attendees will hear the live Q&A with the filmmakers after the films are screened. The Q&A is designed to promote discussion of how the film artists created their works.
If interested in submitting a short film no longer than 20 minutes, as a student or as a student alumnus, Dropbox is open for film submissions. The deadline for submissions is Oct. 22.
