The Governors State Jaguars women’s volleyball team faced a tough match against Judson University, falling in straight sets (25-17, 25-19, 25-18). Despite the loss, the Jaguars showed resilience and determination throughout the game. With a record of 5-10 overall and 1-6 in conference play, the team strives to improve as they progress through the season.

Standout performances came from key players like Joharis Castillo, who recorded 8 kills with an impressive hitting percentage of .227, and Mia Barr, who added 10 points and 4 kills with a solid .300 hitting percentage. Libero Cheyenne Joachim contributed defensively with 14 digs, while Jocelyn Boop posted a .333 hitting percentage, showing her efficiency at the net.

Despite a valiant effort, Governors State struggled to maintain momentum against Judson’s aggressive offense, which resulted in them being unable to close the gap in each set. Judson’s record improved to 14-9 overall and 6-1 in conference play, solidifying their dominance in the match.
