The GSU Art Forum Club is sponsoring a Student Art Sale on Monday, Nov. 13, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. in the Hall of Governors.
This is a great opportunity to grab a unique find for yourself or to get some of that holiday shopping started early. Stop by to support your classmates and their talents. Proceeds from the sale go to the artists and to the Art Forum Club to support future events and activities.
You can expect ceramic pieces, paintings, drawings and prints that are reasonably priced. This sale will be a training ground for art students as they practice talking about their artwork to curious onlookers and potential customers. They also will gain the practical experience of managing a storefront.
The Art Forum Club was started so that art students can create a network and interact with each other. One of the activities that the club has initiated is the student art sales. As with many organizations, the ramifications of COVID-19 took its toll on the club’s efforts.
The Art Forum leadership including Prof. Gretchen Jankowski and Dr. Rebecca Siefert are working to bring the club back into the fold.
If you are not an art major but still want to get involved with the art sale or with the Art Forum, you can reach out to Prof. Jankowski and Dr. Siefert via email or stop by their office hours.
