Governors State University has partnered with the Art Institute of Chicago (AIC) as part of the museum’s University Partner Program. This collaboration provides access to a range of resources and benefits for GovState students, faculty, and staff and offers opportunities to engage with one of the largest art museums in the country.
As a participating member of the University Partner Program, GovState receives several benefits:
- Free Admission: Students with a valid university ID are granted free admission to the museum.
- Discounted Entry: Faculty and staff are eligible for 50% off the regular admission price.
- Annual University Partner Fest: GovState will be invited to participate in the AIC’s annual event in February, which brings together university communities from the region.
- Exclusive University Nights: The program includes two dedicated University Nights per academic year, designed to provide exclusive access to museum exhibits and events.
- Concierge Services: The museum’s concierge service can schedule personalized class or group visits.
- Membership Discounts: Students, faculty, and staff can receive a 10% discount on first-time museum memberships.
