Governors State University students, mark your calendars! On Oct. 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Hall of Governors will be buzzing with activity as the university hosts its first-ever Civic Engagement Fall Festival.
This event, themed “It Takes a Village,” aims to bring faculty, staff, and students together to promote civic engagement and voter participation. The event is part of the ALL IN Democracy Challenge and Students Learn Students Vote Coalition efforts to build an active and informed campus community.
As we approach midterms, this festival provides a perfect opportunity to de-stress and recharge. Join student groups for peer-to-peer conversations on key election issues, register to vote, and enjoy a variety of festival activities. Expect games, prizes, music, food, and more! Whether you’re passionate about politics or just looking to unwind and connect with fellow students, this festival is a fantastic way to take a break and engage with your peers.
Hosted by the Office of the President & Students Learn Students Vote. Don’t miss out—come be part of the change and take a moment to de-stress.
