On Friday March 28, through the help of the GovState IT staff and Radio Jaguar’s off-site engineer, Radio Jaguar programming is back on the air via Live365, http://www.govst.edu/radiojaguar and other streaming platforms. Starting April 2, expect to hear the return of live programming “Fresh Ideas at Noon” with DJ Tam Tuesdays at noon and “Sounds and Breakdowns” with Richi Bernard on Wednesdays at 2 p.m.
The Radio Jaguar stream went down towards the end of GovState’s spring break in mid-March when the studios experienced a full power-outage. While the power was restored to Radio Jaguar on Tuesday March 19, the signal to Live365 was down. There was a temporary fix of a limited playlist of music via Live365, but the live programming via the Radio Jaguar studio was “off the air” until this streaming issue was fixed. While the exact reason why the Radio Jaguar signal to Live365 was not working is not clear, the Radio Jaguar staff is very excited to be back to normal this week.
