Theater and Performance studies majors Marquis Parks and Joshua Tisdale created a beautiful work of art for their installation project. Their work sets the tone for audiences of all backgrounds to feel a part of a great line of history. Acknowledging the contributions to life their family members have made, inspires others to do the same.
Reflecting on their project, they came across how small the world is, but also how its interconnected. Through their artwork they came across the fact that they share a relative. This is a simple reminder of the importance of connection, comradery, and community building.
Acknowledging the walks of life that Marquis, Josh, and their families have ventured through encourages audiences to sympathize, empathize, and quite literally put your feet into someone else’s shoes. In the upcoming weeks there will be more works of art coming from Dr. Patrick Santoro’s Performance Art Class.
