The Counseling & Wellness Center at Governors State University welcomed everyone to its Mid-Term De-Stress Event on Feb. 29, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Engbretson Hall.
The Wellness Center said its main aim was to support both students and faculty in their journey toward relaxation and stress management.
Stating that taking care of mental and physical well-being is crucial, the Counseling & Wellness Center curated a variety of activities aimed at fostering relaxation, connection, and the acquisition of coping strategies.
In the event, participants discovered an array of stress-relieving techniques such as deep breathing exercises, mindfulness meditation, and the rejuvenating benefits of spending time outdoors.
The Midterm De-Stress event offered a diverse range of activities including the creation of stress balls, creating bracelets, coloring and game stations, and indulging in the soothing touch of massage therapists, all provided courtesy of the Counseling & Wellness Center.
Complimentary food was provided, ensuring that participants felt refreshed and energized throughout the event.
