On March 10 and 11 the Governors State University dance company entertained audiences with a powerful dance ensemble.

“RISE UP! Truth to Power” was choreographed and performed by students, faculty, and alumni. This exciting presentation dazzled spectators with a variety of different styles and themes.

The event was described as a surprising compilation of sights and sounds, and the performers did not disappoint.

“RISE UP! Truth to Power” was the 2023 spring dance concert. Professor Megan Lindsay directed this presentation by the GSU Dance Company. Lindsay is the Artistic Director, Faculty Choreographer, and Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance TAPS. Lindsay is also the coordinator, director, and faculty advisor of the Governors State University Dance Company. Lindsay has been teaching at GSU since 2013.
