Recreation Center offers GSU ‘family’ healthy options for the new year
A new semester and a new year frequently bring new goals and resolutions. For those whose goals include fitness and more physical activity, the GSU Athletics and Recreation Center has opened its doors for students, staff, and community members.
The Rec Center offers all members of the GSU community access to the facility as a safe place to reduce stress and improve fitness. While all GSU students, faculty, and staff are enrolled in the Rec Center when they obtain their IDs, the center also offers memberships to the public; information is found here.
The Center is available with the following COVID restrictions:
- COVID-19 tests are required for students, staff, and faculty who are exempt from getting vaccinated.
- Masks are still mandated on GSU grounds, fully covering the mouth and nose area.
- Continue to maintain social distancing.
- Cleaning equipment thoroughly after using machines, weights, etc
The Center offers:
- Free weights
- Exercise Machines
- Cardiovascular equipment
- Full-size gymnasium with basketball court
In addition, the center offers numerous programs and classes that will be conducted for those using the facility.
