Attention Latinx community: Do you want to be a part of Apple’s team?
Apple will be hosting a Latinx Exchange career panel discussion for undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing a career in technology. The employee resource group Amigos@Apple and The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) have teamed up with Apple to provide college students with exciting and diverse experiences.
An email sent out to GSU students by Career Services that provided information of upcoming internships, summer employment and workshops included an opportunity for the Latinx community/students interested in technology.
“The Latinx Exchange provides a forum for Apple Latinx employees to share their respective stories and offer advice to students in the early stages of their professional careers as they speak of the infinite possibilities in the world of technology. Software engineers who work for the Apple Cloud Services (ACS) organization will discuss challenges and inspirations as members of the tech field. The Apple Cloud Services team is responsible for crafting systems for Apple services such as iCloud, iTunes, Siri, Maps, and Apple’s software developers take great pride in providing user-friendly products,” per the email sent to students”
Students interested in learning more about working for Apple will have the opportunity to meet with Apple Cloud Services recruiters and gain feedback on the company’s hiring process. Apple’s Latinx employees will discuss the importance of diversity and inclusion, as well as how the company’s dedication to this mission has helped it become one of the nation’s largest technology firms.
On April 28, at 2:00 p.m. PDT, the Latinx Exchange will take place. The registration deadline is April 21. Once registered, Apple will give each student additional event information.
