Office of Career Services Presents Self-Improvement Philosophy Program
The office of Career services is presenting a program designed to help individuals focus on improving themselves. Its mission is to inspire and motivate individuals to make positive changes by increasing self-awareness, critical thinking, communication, self-regulation and professional development.
Paul Kelly, a Clinical Psychology major, is a graduate student who works for GSU’s Career Services. “The program began as an idea of mine when I was incarcerated. Then like two summers ago, I took an addictions course that helped put some pieces together to what I had in mind, then I introduced the idea to Dartina Dunlap, Career Counselor – she is my supervisor – and, after some modifications, we have Self-improvement- Philosophy.”
Kelly wants to establish his own organization based on the self-improvement philosophy, but on a larger scale, in order to assist people in need, his community, and people in general.
Join every Wednesday from 12-1 p.m. until April 14 and be prepared to take a conscious mental view of your life and complete an honest analysis of your process. If you have any questions, please contact Dartina Dunlap, Career Counselor at [email protected] or Paul Kelly, Graduate Assistant at [email protected] or by phone at 708.235.7346
