On Oct. 21, GSU President Dr. Cheryl Green sent an announcement to students and staff about the coming semester’s operational plan. According to Green, the Spring semester will look a lot like the current Fall semester.  

“In order to keep our community as safe as possible and provide continuity for the instructional modalities and work plans currently in place for Fall 2020, those plans will now continue into the Spring 2021 semester,” said Green after mentioning that the school has “no assurances that things will substantially improve in the few months between now and the spring semester.” 

Despite the Fall plan being used again, Green announced a few changed for Spring of 2021. The semester will still begin on Jan. 19, but will now end on May 3, one week earlier than scheduled. Spring break is also canceled due to the shortened semester.
